Reflection on Running a Blog

As this is my final post before my assignment submission, I want to reflect on running a blog and the impact it has had on my development as a landscape architect. I have to admit, when we were first asked to run a blog as part of the assignment, I was very apprehensive, I don’t particularly enjoy written work and I was too narrow minded to see how it could be a constructive element of my degree. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. Spending time regularly reading and reflecting on different aspects of landscape architecture has broadened my mind on things that I may not have come across otherwise, as well as provided me with the opportunity to write about topics that interest and inspire me. I have begun to question myself more - my method, my attitude, my theory – it has helped me prepare for moving from education into professional practice.
